O Canada...our home and native land.......In response to some people's jabs and outright patriotic envy of the great US of A and my affiliation with them, I would like to declare my self North American. This picture will be followed up with some US flag shots. I really don't see the difference between the people that live in Canada and the US, we've got idiots, they've got idiots (most of all our idiots are in Government), there's nice people everywhere you go and there are also some assholes everywhere you go. For some reason Canadians love to hate the US.

but i will sign off with this thought 'avro arrow' a time when the canadian forces were far superior and ahead of americans. What happened to the arrow you ask? Wimpy canadian prime minister got bullied by americans....scrapped the arrow...i mean really scrapped every last piece of it...and bought into the whole missile crisis bullshit the americans had going. Basically they squashed Canadian innovation and advancement because we were ahead of them....sound familiar?

Seriously...this thing about the US protecting Canada is a little idealistic and once again paints the US as some kind of 'good force' in the world that will protect the little people and countries... That's totally idealistic and propoganda man...simple propoganda... the US does what it does for it's own interest...just like any other colonialist/imperialist force of the past....the US is huge....they consume alot of shit...they need to keep money flowing...so they gotta go out there and make shit happen... i get tired of the whole propoganda of the US being altruistic...and protecting of other peoples and shit....hello,,,,,vietnam....they weren't there to 'save' the vietnamese....they were there to make sure the 'commies' were kept in check...
you know...let's call a spade a spade...the US represents an exciting place...but basically it represents consumerism and 'get what you can'...and 'get on top'...if you really wanna 'make it'...you go to the states.....too much sugar...they need to chill out a bit...get a little more humble....little more class....at least pretend...there is a movement going on there i think....guys like John Daily and shit....lefties that aren't granola crunching...and useless...no one wants hippies anymore...people just want the straight truth...and i mean straight truth...

i wanna know the truth....the real truth....i wonder if governments really gave you the straight truth what would happen. Like what if Bush said "ok, here's the deal, we're hemmoraging, we're out of oil...either we A) cut down on consumption and look for alternative sources or B) we need to control the pipeline in the middle east... People of America... A) or B)? if B) we'll have to use force to take over the pipeline....notice how there was no C) saving the iraqi people? because that's absolute fucking propoganda......i would be interested to hear someone on the whole oil/middle east thing....someone who actually knows their shit...without some fucking toupee wearing, hair dyed, phony CNN piece of shit that is basically Geraldo looking for commercial success of their show and sponsorship for QuakerOats or some shit...

it would be interesting to grab an average american family...and an average iraqi family....interview them freely....ask them about their lives...history....current world affairs...
see where 'real' people are at...what is really going on...no the god damn propoganda machines...i'm hoping the internet will help with that....i'm hoping there's a new movement that will surface...almost like another stream of discussion between worlds...free dialogue with no agenda....see where people are at...see if we can actually work out shit.....yes...i know it's idealistic.....but remember this.....when you watch CNN or only CBC for your news source....you are only hear one side of the truth...
I dont believe the US is altruistic, but they arent the evil scurge either. Have they done "nice things" before..yes will they in the future..yes, will they do evil shit as well yes. There are 2 reasons they would help us, 1. I think as a neighbour they would prefer us over anybody that would attack us, and 2. I just believe they would.
Look at all the big powers in the world, are they running around righting wrongs and snuffing out evil..no, they are trying to make sure things in their own country stay good from an economic and safety point of view? Nobody is altruistic, they all opperate for themselves, governments churches ...everybody....even you and I sometimes. Obviously the scale is a bit different and we dont affect the world the way a whole country would.

That's the problem! Nobody expects a country to be a superhero! Everybody with a brain expects a country to act out of self interest!
So you shouldn't go around pretending otherwise. Cuz nobody believes you! And that's the reason that a lot of people don't trust the USA (or its government, to be specific). Because we have eyes and a brain! And the US government acts like people don't (Iraq invasion = case in point). Especially not its own citizens.
